City Center (Center) is proud to sponsor the Mid-Winter
Writers Conference
on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at
the Pell
City Center
in Pell City, Alabama. The Conference will be from 9:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. with check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. Coffee and danish
will be provided for early arrivals. NOTE: ALL guests must
register and pay the applicable conference registration fee. The Pell City Center will be open on Friday, February 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for authors to setup their book tables. Guests who are either local or arrive the day before are invited to attend an informal “Greet and Meet” at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the Pell City Public Library. There will be light refreshments and the opportunity to fellowship and participate in (or listen to) a “Round Robin” Poetry Reading at 7:00 p.m. Guests may also pick up their welcome packet and badge at the library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We are excited to be able to bring this conference to Northeast Alabama. Our agenda is robust, and our presenters have a proven track record in their areas of expertise. Whether your genre is poetry, fiction, non-fiction or blogging, there will be something here for you. Special Note to Authors: Lori Hays from the “Authors On The Air” global radio network will be at the Conference. She will be interviewing guests who are published authors, whether Indie or Traditional, for segments on this radio program. (See PDF Flyer) You won’t want to miss the chance to talk about and promote your book. Fifteen-minute interview slots will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis, and you may sign up for one of them when you check in to pick up your badge and welcome packet.
